About Spanish Practice

Purpose

This web application is being developed for the Spanish classes offered in the professional development program of UW-Milwaukee's School of Continuing Education. The activities featured on this site are designed to reinforce the concepts taught in our Spanish courses.

Curriculum Alignment

The activities on this site are designed to align with the textbooks used in our Spanish program:

  • "¡ADELANTE! Uno," Third Edition by José A. Blanco (Vista Higher Learning, 2021)
  • "¡ADELANTE! Dos" Third Edition by José A. Blanco (Vista Higher Learning, 2021)
  • "¡ADELANTE! Tres" Third Edition by José A. Blanco and Philip R. Donley (Vista Higher Learning, 2021)

These resources provide comprehensive coverage of Spanish language fundamentals, from basic conjugations to advanced grammar concepts.

Program Leadership

Samantha Meyer serves as the Program Chair for the language courses at UW-Milwaukee's School of Continuing Education. For questions about the language program, you can reach her at language@uwm.edu.

Alaina Brandt is the designer of this application, which she uses specifically for her Spanish classes. You can learn more about Alaina and her teaching approach on her instructor profile page.

Future Development

This application is continuously evolving to better serve our students' learning needs. Learners should keep an eye out for more activities being added to the site as we expand the available practice exercises and introduce new interactive features.

Our goal is to provide comprehensive, engaging tools that help students internalize Spanish grammar, vocabulary, and communication skills in an accessible, web-based format.
